An Ode To Early Springsteen

I know how many feel about Bruce Springsteen and many of our other musicians these days. Seemingly co-opted, vaccinated and wholly owned subsidiaries of the man they complain about. But their music still stands. This is some earlier Springsteen celebrating what he seemed to be back then. The songs resonate today. They seem to have a hymn like quality I cannot deny. Maybe Bruce has forgotten but I haven’t. The most important thing now is not to forget. Is not to get lost with all the lost people.

Hopefully these culture wars we fight today engendered by the psychological operations of an evil political system do not come to define us as human beings.
