ALL THINGS MUSIC - DAYS OF FUTURE PODCASTS
Inside the Business - Real Stories From Real Musicians
Forward:
I am thinking seriously about doing a podcast on the music we all love - something about the music, songs and artists which have provided us with the soundtrack of our lives.
In these times music is one of the most comforting cultural assets we have available.
In this post I share a few videos and tracks which may be of interest.
PLEDGING MY TIME: CONVERSATIONS WITH BOB DYLAN, BY RAY PADGET
This first video is Bob Dylan Drummers Summit: Jim Keltner, Stan Lynch, Winston Watson (w/ Jon Wurster)
The next by one of my favorite Nashville You Tubers - Musician Otis Gibbs - When Dire Straits Met Bob Dylan
Again by Gibbs - Waylon Jennings Never Liked Country Music
The next is one of my all time favorites - Meet Bob Dylan, 1986 - part 4 of 4: Bob and Grizzly the wrestler...
Then we have "The Most Memorable Song I Played with Bob Dylan", by Ray Padgett
Yesterday's just a memory, tomorrow is never what it's supposed to be||Bob Dylan quotes ||
And the following is a real hoot John Mellencamp Told Bob Dylan To Stop Calling, by Gibbs
And the following about how Dylan persuaded Mellencamp to begin selling his paintings
Dylan’s public relations strategy?
And Dylan in HollyWeird
And at the White House
As a future podcaster I am most interested in how we can see musicians as the talented, all too human, and all too funny human beings they usually turn out to be.
Merle Haggard and the Hells Angels -Peter Case from Gibbs
The Hag Smoked A Lot Of Weed -Kenny Vaughan, Gibbs again.
And the the great drummer Jim Keltner on playing with the Beatles.
JIM KELTNER - Session Drummer (Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Ringo Starr & many more)
E151: TrackTalk: Jim Keltner on "Dream Weaver"
Let me know what you would like me to cover in future posts and - hopefully - podcasts.
I like the play on the Moody Blues album title
Yes, I think podcasting is a great idea! I always enjoy the music in your posts
