This morning I write inspired by Scott Ritter as he describes his viewpoints on “Issues That Matter With Cynthia.”
Scott Ritter begins where by rights any American or advocate of free speech should. He underlines that in the very country where free speech is a right granted by law and in the founding documents it is disconcerting, to say the least, that a billionaire industrialist becomes a leading free speech proponent by purchasing Twitter.
What Ritter doesn’t necessarily say but implies is the following. It’s pretty clear that to have our digital town squares owned by private companies and run by the richest among us is in itself a potential threat to free speech. And although not within the scope of this article or this writer it’s at least an issue of economic, political and personal agency - above and beyond free speech.
And it’s not simply the town squares of the internet which are owned and rule much of our existence. It is Amazon as a sort of planetary company store which includes “Whole Foods”.
It is Amazon Web Services which is the operator of the richest-beyond-imagining international digital Mecca of the world’s largest and foremost companies. AWS & Amazon have developed a huge amount of coding, internet architecture and superstructure which run our world today. The tentacles of this company thread directly to our CIA, to DARPA, and to other federal organs of power.
Most readers can fill in the blanks here as to other corporate behemoths of this nature. I need not enumerate all of these. Furthermore it is not only billionaire owned technology corporations which threaten us. We can easily notice that all large corporations are connected by a common interest and that is to take our money, our trust, and our time. Their aim is to sell us something, even to collect private data about us via the internet to further manipulate our trust and take our money. By extension these corporations manipulate us through advertising, television, radio, entertainment, news, health care and the like. This is all done through coordinated control.
This massive planetary control structure has us in a trap. It is now apparent that all or nearly all governments, corporations, and institutions are powerfully & synergistically intertwined. This certainly includes Twitter. It also is impossible to deny that Elon Musk and Tesla are a part of this international structure. Additionally, Musk’s involvement in space technology is notable.
Without going into more investigation we the people must access with Ritter the many permutations of Musk’s purchase. Intent is everything but we will not know until Musk finally reveals them what his actions will be. In 2022 especially we cannot trust someone’s words alone to judge their motivations.
Scott points out deftly the concept that neither Twitter, any individual, corporation or other entity should be in the position of deciding free speech or other human rights. In America this is the task of the Constitution, the Congress, and the judicial as demanded by we the people.
Scott maintains that Elon Musk cannot be our savior of free speech. He is absolutely 100% correct and it is rather troubling that so many have prematurely been celebrating or mourning Musk’s actions. Time will tell as to the real motivation of Mr. Musk. But we must have the courage to face now, together, the complex issues this event brings to the forefront.
This morning I could proceed with writing volumes on the issues raised here and this would be insufficient. The complexity described in this video is enormous and welcome. Please consider what is presented here. Scott Ritter and many others have essentially thrown down a gauntlet for us - we the people - to pick up. The ball is firmly in our court.
Let us have the perspicacity, the sheer gutsy common sense, to confront the many levels of truth here. This is no right or left issue but the very heart of why there is an America. Unless we overcome this silly, divisive Uniparty system we live with, run by forces seemingly beyond our control, we will never again be free in any sense. Our politicians and officials are all too dependent on these systems which enslave us.
America was once the great shining hope of freedom and human rights for the world. It was never the final answer but it firmly held the promise. Now, more than ever, we the people can understand that we are indeed all in this together.
That this light of great shining hope is now diminished is incontrovertible. But as a sturdy tree, battered by many winters, returns fully to life in the spring, may we cultivate the roots of our enlightened natures. Let us achieve together, for us all, the Common Sense way forward. May we allow the better Angels Of Our Nature to guide the way.
I closed my Twitter and Facebook accounts and am working towards a life style that avoids harmful corporate offerings. I suppose if one is neck deep in their economic system, agreeing to all types of stipulations along the way, then its a fight people can't win.
I do agree the corporate legal structure is the problem. Investors are largely off the hook from the harm corporations cause.
While I haven't the patience to listen to anyone blow off steam on the Internet for thirty minutes, I got the impression that Mr. Ritter is as full of himself as Fauci. He cynically attacks Elon's motives without a clue as to what they are.
There hasn't been an accurate prophet in modern times since Alex Jones. The algorithms of Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, et al have, in fact, already led us blindly into the world of trans-humanism. Why bother shopping when Jeff Bezos already knows what I want? Why thinking when Facebook and Twitter give us no choices?
I may be an extreme optimist, but I think that if Elon Musk moves Twitter to Tennessee, Florida, or Texas (not Austin), the corporate mindset would change overnight and Twitter could, indeed, reflect the thoughts and ideals of humans.
Is Musk the saviour of Twitter or is he the saviour of mankind? That's the only question in my mind.
