The reign of petty tyrants can actually be much more conducive to spiritual growth than a time of comfort and consolation, if one knows how to respond appropriately...
Just when I was beginning to think there was no hope, God nudged back to him. Through Jesus, I now know hope is alive and I am meant to fight this spiritual war against the dark forces. It is the battle God has been training me up for my whole life.
I continue to debate with an atheist friend of mine who always points to the “angry” God of the Old Testament claiming this is proof the Bible is false. I see it completely different as God gives us opportunities to do the right things but sadly in our sinful world it is impossible for us. Is it not right for God to finally say enough is enough and bring his wrath upon us?
Great comment and I see God as benevolent. His guiding hands show us the path if we are paying attention. The “wrath” comes from the repercussions of our own failure to follow the guidance. Our societies want our allegiance and push us away from the wisdom of those guiding hands.

Great comment, thanks . I can so identify - it seems the times are trying to lead us back to the way.
