“The best outcome would be a glancing blow which does not impact - or even destroy - our grids.” Frankly, I’m not a true believer that human beings require electricity for the survival of the species. Human societies have developed without electrical power grids. Human societies will develop again after the solar killshot’s electromagnetic pulse takes down ALL of the electrical grids and the grids stay dead. Human global civilization will die. The sooner the better. The natural destruction of human civilization is sublime.

Great comment thanks. Yes for certain we don't require electricity to survive. Our system has engineered that into the mix and we now have worldwide totalitarianism for our troubles. It may be the universe's way of fixing this evolutionary debacle of devolution.

Timely warning. I, for one, will at least put my radios in a Faraday Cage.

Thanks KW, maybe a lot, a whole lot.

At my house we will be lucky to disconnect long enough to have the chance to protect electronics, lol. Try a whole professional studio and busy musicians - not to mention the keyboard warriors! We have CME protection on car and house - but no proof they work. But the facts don't sound too promising.

An ammo box, and foam insulation, and disconnect the antenna and remove the battery. My hand held HTs may come through this, and the night vision scopes as well. And pray. Always pray!

I think prayer will have to do in this case.
