Human societies have developed without electrical power grids. At my house we will be lucky to disconnect long enough to have the chance to protect electronics, lol. Try a whole professional studio and busy musicians - not to mention the keyboard warriors! We have CME protection on car and house - but no proof they work. But the facts don't sound too promising.
An ammo box, and foam insulation, and disconnect the antenna and remove the battery. My hand held HTs may come through this, and the night vision scopes as well. And pray. Always pray!
