"DESIGNED BY CLOWNS, SUPERVISED BY MONKEYS"
THINKING HIGH TECH INSANITY IS JUST AN INNOCUOUS SYMPTOM?

Although the above post concerns the problems which plague Boing it relates to where we have arrived in our technological advancement on many levels.
FORWARD:
This post is rounded out by the thinking of many that AI - and quite possibly all of our technology - will perhaps need to be sacrificed to prevail over authoritarianism.
In the Global Research article from March 11, 2024 with the title AI Is Starting to Scare People – And So It Should! - author Julian Rose discusses some of the current plot points.
Such technology in the steady guiding hands of mentally healthy humans existing in a mentally healthy society might be one thing.
But such technology in the hands of the immature and mentally unhealthy current leaders it is clear that we must cut the cord to technology as quickly as possible - unless, that is, we are determined to move forward quickly into extinction.
The runaway train of our technology is not simply some innocuous symptom of the chaos and craziness of modern life - but a big part of the reason it is so very off the rails crazy.
Those who command the ship of our technological future are not psychologically normal or qualified to command any ship of any sort.
They can be relied upon to run any ship into the rocks - or any train they command to run off the rails so far she will never ever come back.
Our world is a train wreck currently - not despite them - but directly because of them.
For those of you who follow the history of technology you already know the kind of men who came to the forefront after the American Civil War - as technology enjoyed a rapid rise into the forefront of our lives.
But the kind of men who brought technology into this role were psychologically damaged men - and the men and women who fuel the rise of technocracy today are similarly damaged.
After the Civil War it was primarily men - men who for an array of reasons had reason to want to overcome the perceived - or real - deficiencies of their fathers through worldly success.
Worldly success which often led them to achieve that success by stepping on the rights of those in their way
Brutal, angry, driven men who would stop at nothing to achieve riches and power.
This is neither supposition or psychobabble - but history.
Today those who rise into the heights of success in technology are quite similar to those men who drove the rapid rise of technology after the Civil War.
Federal power - then - as now - consolidated behind these brutal men and fed into the homogenization of our American culture through technological means.
The America which rose out of the Civil War became a more brutal driving force toward authoritarianism - one which has driven the rise of American itself into a rather brutal and driven aim to become the policing force of the planet.
The Civil War was billed as such but in reality it was unannounced world war - with many other nation states behind the force for federal over local power.
While many still see the American Civil War as a war against slavery and against the brutality of man towards man - it was anything but that.
What the brutality of the Civil War managed to do was usher in the predominance of consolidated power between nation states, corporations and institutions.
What the Civil War actually did - as opposed to how it was sold to Americans by political snake oil salesmen - was to user in one of the most autocratic periods of World History.
We now live in these times - ruled over by men like those who are all members of that secret-decoder-ring billionaire’s society - the World Economic Forum.
The degree to which we now are held hostage to these forces is outstanding.
The question is can we handle technology and the men who seem to excel at managing it in our stead?
The answer which appears to be occurring to us all - in no we cannot handle technology.
GOING EXTINCT ONE SMALL STEP AT AT TIME
On the dot. Lincoln's war was a Sorosian revolution in modern terms, with the agents of change placed well in advance, funded and armed to set up the conflict. The prime movers were New England manufacturers who wanted to spread their form of sweatshop slavery into the newly opening West. The new form, started in England in the 1700s, gave no security at all to the workers. The old feudal system had two-way obligations: the employer had to support the families for life, including children and the elderly. The new sweatshop system was sold as "rights' for the workers, but in fact the workers only had the "right" to starve and the employers had the "right" to starve them.

I've got to get me one of those 'secret decoder rings' before Apple ruins them.
It's a real shame that 'slavery' had not died yet, before America came along. "But who would have built America then?" I hear Joe Biden say. Just like the Mexicans say "We want the parts of America back with roads, cities and power plants, not the empty desert."
